Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Translate our customers‘ vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirements.
Senior System verification Engineer to develop test solutions for functional verification and/or Requirements validation
Understanding of Requirements Management in DOORs.
Work collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade studies and resolve engineering issues.
In addition to project responsibility, you will play a key role in developing our systems engineering capability more widely.
Helping us pivot our focus from products to product platforms to maximise reuse of engineering effort.
Providing targeted engineering services & consultancy to our customer base to enhance their use of systems engineering or resolve specific technical challenges.
Qualifications
Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or have evidence of progress towards Professional Registration with a PEI.
Experienced in Defence / Aerospace / Marine or safety regulated environments.
Essential skills
5 years’ Experience of Verification and Validation techniques in an Marine environment.
A Hardware/ Electrical Background would be advantageous.
A Basic knowledge of Python would be useful.
Understanding of Requirements Management in DOORs.
Experience of using JIRA as a task management tool is desirable.
ONC / HNC / Engineering degree qualified
UK SC cleared
On site working is required Tue to Thurs every other week,
Experience
Practical, relevant experience in a product development environment performing similar roles.
Expertise in requirements engineering
Experience of applying system engineering toolsets and paradigms such as IBM DOORS, V & V, etc
5 years’ Experience of Verification and Validation techniques in an aerospace environment.

Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate engineering teams performing a work package, to conduct all activities
Develop and agree to project budgets and scope
Define the system development cycle, tailor and document the system engineering process, practices and tools.
Manage scope of the work package ensuring requirements are clear and bounded and desired results are documented.
Review and validate internal and subcontractor plans.
Manage internal and external reviews, including peer reviews as necessary.
Manage timely deliveries to the customer.
Allocate the contractual requirements and track throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor the engineering activities through project engineering dashboards.
Organize, control and monitor the integration activities.
Ensure an efficient and effective problem reporting process.
Participate in the management of Risks of Opportunities throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Manage the various Engineering Changes Proposal (ECPs) (technical content and impact analysis).
Control and monitor corrective actions as identified through Reviews and Quality evaluations.
Issue the engineering status reports to Project Management.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of any event that could threaten Schedule, Performance or Cost objectives; and Jointly with Engineering Resource Managers (RM).
Providing day-to-day technical direction to dedicated employees on your project, and supports performance management activities throughout the year.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including supporting new employee onboarding.
Jointly with the Chief Engineers (CE): Identifies and reviews the technical risks and opportunities and the related mitigation plans throughout the bid or project.
Lines of Authority: The EM reports dually to the CE and to the Project Manager (PM).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent education with relevant experience.
Applications are also welcomed from individuals with significant demonstrable experience who don’t hold formal qualifications
Certifications: P.Eng. or CET or eligible to obtain P.Eng or CET.
Essential skills
Knowledge of Design and Safety.
Previous experience in Major projects (nuclear or non-nuclear)
Mechanical / Electrical / Civil experience – can have broad experience across all three or specialist in one
Negotiation / collaboration skills - deal with external contract partners
Able to set tasking / deal with queries, assess quality work of design and safety.

Responsibilities

Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Document security policies, procedures, and configuration
Train employees on security best practices and awareness.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Security Engineering
